Charcoal Drawing of Scarlett Johansson

Most of my co-artists (I mean the pencil artists are quite comfortable drawing with grid. It is fine in the initial stages of practice, but as time goes on they would come to understand that there is not point in drawing art with grid.

Human face, the skeletal structure and the way it is designed is a magic. It should be studied and that is possible only in free hand drawing. I love free-hand drawing. It simply makes me realise in every portrait that human faces differ from each other only in degrees. I started this portrait of Scarlett Johansson with an intention to put my heart and soul into it. Not bad I think I have done justice to some extent. This is simply a sign that shows that I am in the right direction. I am happy about it.
